The town of Jackson is located within the Jackson Hole Valley in Teton County, Wyoming. The following guide describes neighborhoods by their geographic region. The sections are labled as follows: In - town, North of town, South of Town, West Bank North, and West Bank South

The Town of Jackson


Jackson, Wyoming is the largest town in the state. The Town of Jackson is divided up into three parts with East Jackson being primarily single family homes, many with views of the Grand Tetons, elk refuge, and Snow King. Central Jackson offers up most of the commercial core of downtown Jackson with access to Snow King ski resort only blocks away. There is a mixture of multi-family and single family properties which create a vibrant area around the town square and the Center for the Arts. West Jackson offers mainly suburban commercial spaces with single-family and multi-family housing interspersed. Flat Creek meanders through much of west Jackson before turning south out of town.

Famous for its elk antler arches on the town square, historic downtown offers a wide variety of dining options as well as art galleries and many lodging opportunities. It’s location is famous for its close proximity to tourist attractions such as Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, as well as world-renowned skiing. Arts are also valued in town; venues and events include the Center for the Arts, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, and the Grand Teton Music Festival.

3 Creek Ranch : Located minutes from downtown Jackson, 3 Creek Ranch is a 710 acre private golf and fly-fishing community. The golf course is a Rees-Jones designed course that winds through the wild countryside. There are 165 parcels in 3 Creek Ranch ranging from 3,000 sq ft cabin homes on small sites to secluded 35 acre ranch estates.

Teton Village: Teton Village is located about 15 minutes north of downtown Jackson. The mountain is home to world famous skiing and snowboarding at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with over 4,000 vertical feet of varied terrain. In December of 2008, the new 100 passenger aerial tram opened for service. There is a wide variety of ownership opportunities in Teton Village from condominiums to large homes. Teton Village also offers an abundance of lodging and dining options from the local hostel to the Four Seasons.

Shooting Star: Shooting Star is Jackson Hole’s newest golf resort community. The development is located on the south end of Teton Village with an incredible semi-private Tom Fazio designed golf course. In addition to the world class golf course, there is also blue-ribbon trout fishing throughout 1,300 acres of conservation land adjacent to the golf course. There are eighteen 4,000 sqft cabins and 33 home sites in Phase One. Phase Two will include an additional 60 home sites averaging 1.3 acres. Shooting Star also has access to Teton Village away with its wide variety of shops and fine dining, as well as having Grand Teton National Park only minutes away.

North of Town


The areas located north of town enjoy breathtaking views of the Grand Teton mountain range. Visitors and residents living in this area enjoy close proximity to Jackson Hole Airport. Many properties in this area of the valley sit along the base of a mountain range. This is also the area where Jackson Hole Ski Resort is located

Kelly: An unincorporated community area located north of town, Kelly is situated at the foot of the Gros Ventre range, 15 minutes west of Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis, Kelly is a quiet town with some of the best views of the Tetons in the valley and a large amount of wildlife including American Bison, elk, and moose.

Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis: JHG&T is one of the outlying neighborhoods of Jackson located minutes from the airport and a few mile from downtown. Golf and Tennis was originally developed in the 60’s by Paul McCollister, the visionary behind Teton Village. The golf course is Robert Trent Jones designed and is consistently ranked as one of the best in Wyoming. The new clubhouse complex in LEED certified and is 100% powered by wind energy. It offers amazing Teton and Gros Ventre Range views. The area surrounding JHG&T is both single family and cabin style townhomes.

South of Town


In this area of Jackson Hole Valley, you are more likely to find properties that are part of homeowners' associations. You will find homes in subdivisions here, and they offer bike paths and parks nearby. Sno King ski resort is also located slightly south of Jackson.

Rafter J, Cottonwood Park, and Melody Ranch: Located south of Town, these neighborhoods offer modest 1,100 sqft homes in the $400K range to large 5,000 sqft family homes up to $1.8M.

Hoback Junction: Hoback Junction is located nine miles South of Jackson and offers a variety of ownership opportunities with easy access to the National Forest and great trout fishing in both the Snake and Hoback Rivers.

West Bank North


More subdivisions are located in West Bank North. Nearby this area of Jackson Hole Valley you will also find the towns of Teton Village and Wilson. Both are census-designated places with low populations and lovely scenery; Wilson was named after a pony express rider who became an author.

The Aspens: This prime development is only minutes away from Jackson and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, with Teton Pines Golf Course immediately adjacent.

Wilson: Wilson is located 12 miles west of downtown Jackson, and offers access to backcountry skiing and mountain biking over the pass to Idaho as well as some great views of the Tetons and Sleeping Indian Mountain. With restaurants like Pica’s, Norah’s Fish Creek, Pearl Street Bagels and great nightlife at the Stagecoach, Wilson is a great place to call home.

South of Wilson: Fall Creek Road travels a very scenic 2 lane road through some of Jackson’s most exclusive neighborhoods and ranches. Many of the homes have elevated views of the Snake River, the Tetons and the Sleeping Indian. Neighborhoods include Highland Park, Crescent H Ranch, Teal Trace and Pine Meadow.

John Dodge: Located on Moose-Wilson Road between Teton Village to the North and the Town of Wilson to the south. John Dodge offers secluded upscale private living with Snake River access as well as views of the Tetons.

Teton Pines: Teton Pines is located on Moose-Wilson Road between the town of Wilson and Teton Village and offers a semi-private golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, professional year-round tennis facilities, and many different ownership opportunities including Garden Homes, townhomes, cluster homes and estate homes. Access to skiing in Teton Village, Grand Teton National Park, and the Town of Jackson are just minutes away.

West Bank South


In this scenic and rural area, you will often find people participating in pastimes such as riding their horses or fishing. Many expensive homes are located along the Snake River in this part of the valley, and there are many homes in subdivisions as well.
